(Fri 02 Jul 10) As part of its 40th anniversary celebrations, Range Rover has released the first official picture of its smallest-ever model. Known as the Evoque, it is the production version of the LRX concept which made its debut back in 2008, and it will be formally unveiled at the Paris Show in September before going on sale worldwide next summer.
Part of the point of the LRX was to show that Range Rover could build a low-CO2 car if it tried, and the company is promising that at least one model in the production range will have a rating of less than 130g/km. That version will have front-wheel drive (for the first time in Range Rover history), though a 4x4 transmission will also be available. Comment on this story on Facebook or Twitter.
