The Next Citroen C4

(Tue 01 Jun 10)

Citroen has released some details of the new C4, which is due to go on sale in the UK early next year.

Citroen C4 64.

It's a couple of inches longer than the current model, and slightly wider and taller, with a considerably larger luggage capacity of 408 litres. New features available in the range will include a blind spot monitoring system, cornering headlights, cruise control, a speed limiter with a memory setting, and something called eTouch, which advises on how to drive more economically as well as monitoring the car's technical status and giving a reminder of when the next service is due.

A start/stop system, for cutting the engine when the car is stationary, is also being used, and will allow some of the launch models to have a CO2 rating of 109g/km. Later additions to the range will have CO2 emissions of 99g/km, making them exempt from UK road tax.
