Nissan Micra ELLE
(Friday 24 August 2012)
Nissan has created a limited-edition version of the Micra named after fashion magazine ELLE.
The marketing department has gone into a frenzy (as marketing departments will on these occasions), pointing out how the car and the magazine both meet the needs of "today's ultra-busy woman". The sober fact of the matter is that this is a mid-range Acenta with several upgrades, such as 15" titanium grey alloy wheels, a panoramic sunroof, foglights, a roof spoiler and chrome detailing on the front grille and interior doorhandles.
A maximum of 500 ELLE models will be sold, with a choice of three colours (Shiraz Red, Alabaster White and Atlas Blue) and, as with other Micras, a 1.2-litre petrol engine that is either supercharged or, alternatively, not. Pricing starts at £12,000.
