After several years, Nissan has had a change of policy about its Murano crossover. Previously available only with a petrol engine, the Murano will soon be sold in turbo diesel form.

The 2.5-litre four-cylinder unit is a familiar one, but it has been uprated for the Murano to produce a maximum of 187bhp. Diesel Muranos come as standard with six-speed automatic transmission, and will go on sale in the UK in September.
