Ford has taken up to £4650 off the list prices of ten of its most popular models. The cars concerned are the Zetec versions of the Ka, Fiesta, Fusion, Focus, C-MAX, Mondeo, S-Max and Galaxy, plus the Ka Studio and the Kuga Titanium. The new Spring Value prices range from £7995 for the Ka Studio (that's £1400 below the normal cost) to £21,495 for the Galaxy Zetec, for which you would normally be asked to pay £26,145.

For as long as the scrappage scheme lasts (until March 31 or when the Government's money runs out, whichever happens sooner) the £2000 saving will still be applied to the Spring Value prices, except in the case of the Ka Studio and Zetec, where £700 of the discount applies only to non-scrappage sales.

An important piece of small print to be aware of is that the Spring Value prices are available only to customers who take out a Ford Options deal financed by Ford Credit, so you will end up paying more, though the cost will be spread out over a period of time.
