Subaru WRX STI Price Cut

Subaru's Impreza-based WRX STI has had its price slashed by no less than £6000, and is now available for a relatively modest £26,995.
In light of this, the UK importer is now describing the car as "one of the performance car bargains" currently available in this country. No doubt it is, though a price drop of nearly 20% suggests it has been proving hard to shift. The introduction of such an offer just before next month's registration plate change may also be significant.
In other news, Subaru has also introduced a 340R power upgrade kit consisting of a new exhaust system and revised ECU settings. The combined effect is to raise the maximum output from 297bhp to 335bhp and cuts the 0-62mph time by half a second to 4.7 seconds.
The kit costs £1599 and, like the 320R upgrade which went on sale last year, can be retro-fitted to an already-owned car without affecting the manufacturer's warranty.
