Subaru XV Pricing

(Monday 30 January 2012)

Subaru XV.

Subaru has confirmed that the UK pricing of its new XV crossover model will start at £21,295. The XV, which was awarded a five-star rating after being tested last year by EuroNCAP, is available with 112bhp 1.6- and 148bhp two-litre petrol engines (both fitted with a start/stop system) and a 145bhp two-litre turbo diesel.

Subaru XV.The diesel is expected to be the most popular choice in the UK, though it might not help sales very much that it's being offered only with manual transmission. The petrol versions get a Lineartronic automatic which actually improves fuel economy and CO2 emissions - in fact, the 146g/km CO2 rating of the diesel is exactly matched by the 1.6 petrol Lineartronic.

All versions, including the entry-level, have four-wheel drive, front, side and curtain airbags, daytime LED running lights, Vehicle Dynamics Control and air-conditioning as standard. For an extra £2000, SE models also get cruise control, a rear-view camera, Bluetooth and USB/iPod connectivity, while SE Lux Premium specification offers satellite navigation, keyless entry and start, and leather seat upholstery.
