Suzuki Swift Range Revised

(Mon 14 Dec 09)

Suzuki has abandoned the previous GL and GLX versions of the Swift supermini and introduced a new series of trim levels whose names match those of the company's other ranges.

Suzuki Swift 22.

From January, the Swift will be available in SZ2, SZ3 and SZ4 forms. The SZ2 comes with front, side and curtain airbags as standard, along with electric front windows, a CD/MP3 player, steering wheel-mounted audio controls, a three-spoke leather steering wheel and 15" steel wheels. The SZ3 gets front foglights, manual air-conditioning and electrically adjustable heated door mirrors, while the SZ4 has keyless start, automatic air-conditioning and 15" alloy wheels.

Customers have a choice of 1.3-litre petrol and turbo diesel engines with manual transmission and a 1.5-litre petrol unit with automatic transmission. Prices start at £9190. The 1.6-litre Swift Sport is unchanged.
