2015 Mazda MX-5 to make Goodwood debut

The new 2015 Mazda MX-5 will make its UK debut at Goodwood.

Mazda’s new fourth-generation MX-5 sports car will make its first public appearance in Britain at the 2015 Goodwood Festival of Speed this June, alongside the new Mazda2 supermini and Mazda CX-3 crossover SUV.

Famed for offering a fun and engaging drive, the Mazda MX-5 has been around for over 25 years, earning itself a reputation as an entertaining and affordable roadster.

Now in its fourth-generation, the latest model benefits from a plethora of new technology developed by the Japanese brand, including sophisticated, lightweight SKYACTIV body structure and stylish KODO ‘Soul of Motion’ body language.

Set to make its UK debut at the 2015 Goodwood Festival of Speed, Mazda will give visitors a chance to see the new MX-5 in action as it tackles the Goodwood hill as part of the Moving Motor Show. The new CX-3 crossover SUV will also be tackling the Goodwood hill.

Thanks to the incorporation of sophisticated Skyactiv technology, the new MX-5 is 100kg lighter than its predecessor, making it more agile on the road. The MX-5 is also more sculptured than before, with a meaner front-end design that brings it more in-line with the rest of its KODO-inspired siblings.

Engine availability for the new MX-5 includes a 1.5-litre and 2.0-litre petrol units, both offered with the slick, much-loved, six-speed manual gearbox.

The new 2015 Mazda MX-5 is available to order now ahead of its forecourt debut in the summer. The 2015 Goodwood Festival of Speed will take place from June 26 to 28.
