Prices for the facelifted 2016 model year Range Rover Evoque have been confirmed ahead of the crossover’s launch in Britain this September. The updated Evoque will be priced from £30,200.
Still available in three-door and five-door guises, the facelifted Evoque features redesigned for the front bumpers, headlights and alloy wheels, plus a tweaked tailgate spoiler.
Inside, the 2016 model year Evoque gets an upgraded infotainment device, with an eight-inch touchscreen that’s clearer to read than the screen used in previous Evoques. Smartphone-style swipe controls and app compatibility are other highlights of the new infotainment system.
The updated Evoque receives the all-new Ingenium 2.0-litre turbodiesel engine, which will also feature for the upcoming Jaguar XE saloon. This unit can produce 148bhp or 178bhp and is mated to a six-speed manual gearbox as standard. The 148bhp version utilises front-wheel drive, but the 178bhp Ingenium engine runs on four-wheel drive and customers can switch to a nine-speed automatic gearbox.
The 148bhp Ingenium is more efficient for the Evoque, recording a combined fuel economy between 65mpg and 68mpg and CO2 emissions between 109g/km and 113g/km depending on choice of bodystyle.
Regarding the 178bhp Ingenium engine, the manual gearbox is slightly more efficient, returning a combined 59mpg and a CO2 output of 125g/km. With the nine-speed auto ‘box these figures are altered to between 55mpg and 58mpg, and 128g/km to 133g/km depending on bodystyle.
The updated Evoque will also be available with a Si4 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine with 237bhp. This gives the crossover a 0-62mph sprint time of just 7.6 seconds and a combined fuel economy of 36mpg, plus CO2 emissions of 181g/km.
From launch, there will be five trim levels for the refreshed Evoque. The range starts with SE trim, followed by SE Tech which is priced from £32,200 for either the three or five-door Evoque. This is followed by HSE Dynamic (from £40,500), HSE Dynamic Lux (£46,000) and Autobiography (£51,800).
Standard kit for the 2016 model year Evoque includes eight-way adjustable heated front seats, automatic headlights, rain sensing wipers, automatic climate control and Lane Departure Warning.
