2017 Kia Rio sketches revealed ahead of Paris debut

Kia has shown off the look of the next-generation Rio by releasing a few sketches of the supermini. The new Rio will make its first public appearance during the end of September at the 2016 Paris Motor Show.

The pictures shows that the new Kia Rio has a sportier appearance than before, with more aggressive-looking headlights and a more stretched out ‘Tiger Nose’ grille. The car also has a longer front overhang and bonnet, longer wheelbase, redesigned taillights and upright C-pillars.

Some of the design features at the front, particularly the headlights, fog lights and bumper, are reminiscent of the latest Hyundai i20 supermini.

A sketch of the interior shows that the new Rio will have a minimalistic design with only a few buttons and dials along with a large display screen for the infotainment system.

The new Kia Rio will launch sometime in 2017, with production reportedly starting near the end of 2016. Expect pricing for the new Rio to start from about £11,000.
