The updated Nissan GT-R Nismo, the flagship of the Japanese supercar’s range, will be priced from £149,995 when it launches in the UK next year.
Nissan showed off updates for the GT-R and the more hardcore GT-R Nismo back in April during the New York Auto Show. The GT-R Nismo sports a facelift and a tweaked version of Nissan’s 3.8-litre twin-turbo V6.
Now featuring a pair of larger, high-flow turbochargers, featured in the GT3 racing car equivalent, the updated GT-R Nismo’s engine offers a whopping 592bhp. The standard 2017 GT-R offers 562bhp.
Other changes include a stiffer body shell, tweaked suspension and upgraded aero parts to improve the car’s handling. In fact, the updated Nissan GT-R Nismo produces more downforce than any other Nissan production car ever built.
The interior of the GT-R Nismo has also been redesigned to give it a more modern and premium feel. The dashboard, steering wheel and centre armrest sport Alcantara and leather trim and the car comes with sporty Recaro bucket seats as standard with suede inserts.
Nissan is set to put the updated GT-R Nismo on sale this November. It has not been confirmed exactly how many units will come to Britain, but first deliveries are expected to take place during the first quarter of 2017.
