2017 Nissan Micra hints at radical redesign

Nissan has released a teaser video which hints at the new, more aggressive design for its 2017 Micra.

Nissan has given us our first look at the new Micra by releasing a teaser video which shows us certain parts of the supermini. The new-generation Nissan Micra will launch next year and will soon make its public debut appearance at the 2016 Paris Motor Show.

Judging by the parts of the car shown in the teaser, the new Micra has a considerably more aggressive appearance than its predecessors. Some of its styling cues, particularly the headlights and front grille, are reminiscent of the current Nissan Pulsar.

A range of bright, vibrant colours available for the new Micra are also hinted at during the teaser video.

Several online reports suggest the new Micra will be five-door only and significantly larger than the previous Micra, which straddled the line between city car and supermini and was described by its makers as a B minus segment car. The new Micra looks as though it will be more focused on directly challenging the likes of the Ford Fiesta, Vauxhall Corsa and Renault Clio.

More details on the new Nissan Micra will be announced when it makes its public bow during the Paris Motor Show later this week.
