Renault has revealed the UK pricing and specification details for its 2017 ZOE range, which is available for orders now.

Renault has officially confirmed UK pricing and specification details for the updated Renault Zoe electric supermini, which is available to order now with first deliveries taking place in January.

Confirmed updates for the ZOE range include a new range-topping model with a new 40kW battery.

For the first time, the ZOE can be purchased outright, rather than being offered with a battery leasing plan. Customers can still purchase the car with a monthly battery lease agreement if they prefer though. Buying the battery outright adds £5,000 to the ZOE’s price.

The specification badging for the 2017 ZOE is determined by whether the battery is leased or purchased outright. In the case of the latter, the letter ‘i’ is put before the trim name.

The ZOE range starts with the Expression or iExpression trim, priced from £13,995 and £18,995 respectively (after the Plug-in Car Grant).

Next is the Dynamique Nav model which starts from £17,845 (or £23,445 for the iDynamique Nav) and from this trim onwards you can get the new 40kW battery option to replace the original and standard 22kW battery.

Compared to the ZOE’s original battery, the new 40kW option improves the ZOE’s official range to up to 250 miles, although Renault estimates a real-world range of 186 to 224 miles depending on the temperature.

The speed of the car is the same regardless of the battery, so the 0-62mph sprint time of all ZOE models is 13.5 seconds. The top trim is Signature Nav priced from £19,895 (or from £25,495 for iSignature Nav).

Standard kit for the 2017 Renault ZOE includes a new infotainment system with a seven-inch touchscreen. It supports Renault R-Link2 and TomTom sat-nav functions. Cruise control, Bluetooth connectivity and electric mirrors are also part of the standard equipment.
