2017 Volvo XC60 SUV previewed in new teaser images

The 2017 Volvo XC60 has been part unveiled in a set of new teaser images released by Volvo. Find out more about the car here.

The first look at the 2017 Volvo XC60 SUV has been unveiled in new teaser pictures released by Volvo ahead of the car’s debut at this year’s Geneva Motor Show.

Judging by the images, the XC60 will look essentially like a shrunk-down version of the larger XC90, with the same wide front grille, ‘Thor’s hammer’ lights and muscular, boxy shape.

Much like its larger sibling, it will also likely come with a large central infotainment screen and a digital dial display alongside a stripped-back, luxurious interior.

The engine line-up has likewise yet to be confirmed, but it’s expected to come with a range of downsized 2.0-litre diesel and petrol motors as Volvo pursues the downsizing of its engine range.

As well as that, it’s possible that a hybrid version will be on the way, making use of an electric motor in conjunction with Volvo’s new three-cylinder petrol engines.

The new Volvo XC60 is rumoured to be priced from around £35,000 here in the UK and will go on sale later this year following its public debut at the Geneva show in March.
