2018 Aston Martin Vantage revealed

The latest model of the sports car comes with a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Aston Martin has taken the covers off its new version of the Vantage sports car.

With an all-new exterior design that makes it look more dynamic than before, this latest Vantage comes with a 4.0-litre, twin-turbocharged V8 engine that produces 503bhp.

All of the power is diverted to the back wheels with the help of an eight-speed automatic transmission, with the performance of the new model outstripping that of the previous V8 Vantage. The sprint to 60mph is knocked off in 3.5 seconds and it has a top speed of 195mph.

Under the skin of the new model is an electronic rear differential – an Aston Martin first – and with the help of a 50/50 weight distribution, this model is set up to attack corners and be exciting to drive. It also comes with dynamic torque vectoring and Pirelli P Zero tyres.

Inside the Vantage comes with a good amount of kit, such as an eight-inch infotainment display, Bluetooth and phone streaming, park assist, parking sensors and satellite navigation. The interior finish is of a premium standard, with alcantara and leather upholstery available with customer colour and design preference.

Aston Martin president and CEO Dr Andy Palmer said: “It speaks volumes for the outgoing Vantage that it is the single most successful model in Aston Martin’s history. Creating a worthy successor has been a challenge to relish and a huge source of motivation.

“I’m enormously excited by what we’ve created: a new Vantage that’s more explicit in looks and intent, wrapping heart-pounding performance and dazzling dynamics into an everyday usable package. A true sports car with a sharper look and a keener dynamic edge, the new Vantage is the Aston Martin pure driving machine enthusiasts have been waiting for.”

Prices start from £120,900 with deliveries beginning in the second quarter of 2018.
