Mazda has teased the all-new Mazda3 with a dark image of the car in both its body styles. The Mazda3 has been around since 2003, with the upcoming model set to be the fourth-generation. Like the current version, the 2019 Mazda3 will be offered in both hatchback and saloon variants.

Engines for the new car have not been announced yet, so fans of the nippy 2.0 litre introduced with the 2018 model will have to wait a bit longer to see if their prayers have been answered.

However, in saying that, Mazda has confirmed it will use the latest Skyactiv engines to ensure ‘responsive control of vehicle speed in any driving situation’. It also claims the car will ‘deliver new dimensions of driving joy to customers around the world.’

The design is said to continue Mazda’s corporate design, but will take a ‘richer interpretation’ of it and Japanese aesthetics – featuring the new generation of Skyactiv-Vehicle Architecture.

This image comes ahead of the 3’s international debut at the 2018 Los Angeles Motor Show, which opens to the press on November 28, with public days running from November 30 to December 9.
