2019 Range Rover Evoque teased before London reveal

Art installations around the British capital show the basic outline of the compact crossover, which is being unveiled next week.

Land Rover has given a first glimpse of the 2019 Range Rover Evoque, with a series of wire form sculptures placed around London.

The full-scale models show a rough outline of the second generation compact crossover, which will be making its debut in the British capital on November 22 at 19:45GMT.

The four different designs show that the 2019 version of the Evoque carries over some of its unique design aspects, such as the sloping roofline and short overhangs over each axle.

Placed throughout Kensington and Chelsea, the red, copper and blue wire designs showed the progression of design for the new model – although we’ll have to wait until next week to see exactly how Land Rover has modernised the popular SUV.

Gerry McGovern, Land Rover chief design officer, said: “The wire forms have been created to preview the new Evoque – which is the embodiment of Range Rover’s modernist design approach. Where better to put these bespoke installations on display than in the heart of London – one of the greatest cities in the world.”

After its unveiling in 2010, the Evoque has been one of Land Rover’s most successful models – with more than 750,000 units sold and 225 awards. Order books for the new Evoque will open when the model is officially unveiled next week.
