Nissan has unveiled the latest GT-R Nismo.
Coming with racing-inspired improvements, the Nismo weighs 30kg less than the standard GT-R – while still having the same 592bhp twin-turbocharged, 3.8-litre V6 engine under the bonnet.
New carbon fibre elements have been fitted to the bumpers, front fenders, bonnet, roof, side sills and rear spoiler, while the 20-inch, nine-spoke forged aluminium wheels remove further weight from the standard GT-R setup.
Nissan has also fitted new sports seats to provide more shoulder and lower body support.
The Japanese firm has also tweaked the drivetrain, with a new turbocharger design employed as well as a revised version of the ‘R’ mode for the six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
A new titanium exhaust system with burnished blue tips features, as well as an updated suspension setup to improve cornering.
Hiroshi Tamura, GT-R chief product specialist at Nissan, said: “The 2020 GT-R Nismo has evolved into a balanced, yet extreme, performance car.

Tamura added: “We have built the 2020 GT-R Nismo for our customers to be the ultimate track and street vehicle. It is about total balance management, not just chasing power figures. The new NISMO has been brought to a new level, with enhanced engine, handling, braking and aerodynamics.”
