2020 Nissan Juke to be revealed on September 3rd

Teaser image doesn’t give much away — but expect a major evolution of its design.

Nissan has announced the second-generation Juke is set to be revealed on September 3rd and has released a teaser image of the car.

Little is given away by this preview, though a thin headlight and stylised fog light suggests the design is a huge evolution of the original car — introduced back in 2011. It would make sense for Nissan to keep the latest iteration of the crossover close in style to the existing Juke, which has become a common sight on UK roads.

Also visible is Nissan’s latest corporate grille, suggesting this car will take on design elements from the firm’s newest models, such as the Leaf EV.

Expected to go on sale in early 2020, the new Nissan Juke is likely to be offered with a line-up of petrol engines and potentially hybrid technology — though don’t expect a fully-electric version immediately.  Rumours suggest the Juke will sit on the same CMF-B platform co-developed with Renault, which is currently used for its latest Captur and all-new Clio.

With the crossover market ever-hotter, the new Nissan Juke will face some seriously stiff competition when it comes to market — with rivals including the Volkswagen T-Cross, Citroen C3 Aircross and Seat Arona.
