Abarth introduces new F595 special edition to celebrate past single-seater racing victories

Sporty hot hatch gains a range of tweaks

Abarth has launched a new special version of its 500-based hot hatchback – the F595.

Using a turbocharged 1.4-litre petrol engine that’s loosely based on that found in Formula 4 racing cars – as is the case with the regular Abarth – the F595 celebrates not only the brand’s partnership with single-seat racers, but also acts as a tribute to the 50th anniversary of the Formula Italia single seater designed by Carlo Abarth.

The Abarth’s turbocharged engine kicks out 163bhp and 230Nm of torque, and is available with both a manual and automatic transmission. The sprint to 60mph takes just 7.1 seconds, while flat out it can reach a top speed of 135mph.

The F595 is also fitted with a new ‘Record Monza Sovrapposto’ exhaust, featuring active valves to change the sound, as well as bold quad exhaust pipes. Koni rear shock absorbers are also fitted to improve handling and stability, while performance brakes provide improved stopping power.

You can choose the F595 as both the conventional hatchback as well as a convertible, and it benefits from a range of ‘Rally Blue’ accents to the door mirrors and front and rear bumpers to make it stand out from the crowd. Sports 17-inch alloy wheels are also fitted, while standard colours available include Race White, Campovolo Grey, Track Grey, Scorpion Black, Record Grey and Tarmac Grey.

Elsewhere, leather sports seats are also fitted, along with a recently redesigned seven-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The new Abarth F595 is available to order now, with prices starting from £20,305 for the hatchback and £22,955 for the convertible.
