all-new Volkswagen Golf teased in sketches

all-new Volkswagen Golf teased in sketches

The eighth-generation Golf will be unveiled later in October.

Volkswagen has revealed sketches of the imminent eighth-generation Golf.

VW’s best-selling model has already been shown in official spy shots, but now the firm is giving us a closer look at how the new car will look.

While the production model will not look as stylish or sleek as these coupe-like sketches, it shows the model will feature a similar look to the new ID.3 EV, indicated by the full-length light bar at the front, though this is unlikely to be fitted as standard.

Volkswagen is promising that the new model will usher a new era of digitalisation and connectivity into the Golf. It’s also set to boast more driver assistance tech than ever, too.

The interior also shows a far more minimalist design, along with a huge digital cockpit that blends into the main touchscreen. The digital display appears to be curved, though that could be because of how the sketch looks.

Volkswagen is unveiling the new Golf in the German firm’s hometown of Wolfsburg on October 24. Further teasers will likely be shown ahead of the unveil of this important model.
