Alpine A110 Pure and Legende editions revealed

Alpine will now offer the A110 two-seat coupe in two new trim levels, Pure and Legende to replace the launch Premiere spec.

French sports car manufacturer Alpine has announced that its A110 will be made available in two trim levels.

Following the launch of the Premiere edition last year, both Pure and Legende trims will be on offer for the A110.

Despite the two options, both come with the same turbocharged 1.8-litre, 249bhp engine that is paired to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and double wishbone suspension at the front and rear.

Alpine says the Pure will be the “lightest and most driver-focused” – signalling the stripping-down of the interior trim from the Premiere edition and removing all non-essential equipment. The manufacturer added: “It is destined to live its life on winding mountain roads and retains the Première Edition’s minimalist yet high-quality approach.”

The Legende model will be aimed towards people wanting a grand touring experience or to use the A110 on a day-to-day basis. It will have leather upholstery, a glossy carbon fibre trim and six-way adjustable Sabelt seats, with other premium features expected to be revealed.

The French brand also announced that three more colour choices have been added to give their customers more choice.

Full details are yet to be released, but expect them to be officially unveiled when both cars make their public debut at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show, taking place from March 6-18.
