Aston Martin DB11 finally unmasked

Aston Martin’s new sports car, the DB11, has been revealed in full for the first time ahead of its public debut at the Geneva Motor Show later this week.

Official images showing the DB11 undisguised have leaked online ahead of the sports car’s Geneva appearance. The pictures show that while the DB11 has a similar shape to its predecessor, the DB9, this new model has some bolder design details around the exterior.

Bolder, tougher look for DB11

The new LED headlights at the front are C-shaped while the taillights have a thin and wide design which sees them spread to parts of the rear opening. The rear spoiler is quite subtle but the bumper and side skirts are noticeably chunky, meaning the DB11 has a more muscular appearance than most previous Aston Martin sports cars.

Other design highlights include the sweeping side pillars which, in the new official images, sport a lighter shade of grey than the rest of the body.

Engine-wise, the Aston Martin DB11 will use an all-new 5.2-litre twin-turbo V12 producing around 600bhp. A 0-62mph sprint time of less than four seconds is probable.

Not much else has been confirmed about the Aston Martin DB11, but more details are bound to be announced later this week following the sports car’s Geneva bow.
