Aston Martin Lagonda Taraf available to UK

Following the recent release of its new limited edition Lagonda Taraf in Dubai, Aston Martin has announced that the luxury saloon will be made available outside of the Middle East.

Limited to just 200 examples, the release of the new Aston Martin Lagonda Taraf has been a long time coming, with the last incarnation of the Lagonda model dating back to the late 80s. Upon its launch, Aston fans were a little disappointed about its Middle East exclusivity. Aston Martin’s latest announcement however, means that it will be available to EU markets, including the UK.

Commenting on the new availability, Aston Martin CEO, Dr Andy Palmer, said: “Opening up the Lagonda Taraf to an increased number of customers around the world was a high priority for me as soon as I joined Aston Martin late last year. I wanted to be able to offer this exceptional saloon to the potential owners from around the globe who have been enquiring about it, and I’m very happy that we have been able to expand the Lagonda proposition.”

Following other unique projects from the carmaker – such as the Vulcan supercar, One-77 and CC100 Speedster Concept – it was only a matter of time until the Lagonda series gained a new edition.

Built in Gaydon, Warwickshire, the new Lagonda Taraf takes inspiration from the 1976 William Towns-designed Lagonda, with a chiselled exterior look and, thanks to new modern advancements, lightweight carbon fibre body panels. Under the bonnet of the new model is a punchy 6.0-litre V12 petrol engine, producing 550bhp.
