Bear Grylls Sky Dives at 125mph while Folding Car Seats

Bear Grylls sky dives at 125mph and folds down Land Rover car seats remotely with a smartphone using the carmakers’ new Seat Fold technology.

Famed British adventurer Bear Grylls has put Land Rover’s new remote-controlled car seat-folding tech to the test, by operating it in the middle of a 125mph sky dive.

The new Seat Fold technology is operational via the InControl Remote app – available for both iOS and Android - and allows users to configure the Land Rover Discovery Sport’s seven seats remotely from anywhere in the world.

The idea of the new tech is help those who are either in a rush or need to arrange the seats to enhance practicality or passenger space before reaching the car.

The video footage of Bear Grylls, who is a well-known Land Rover fan himself, shows him leaping out of a plane with a smartphone strapped to his arm, and remotely configuring the seats of a Land Rover Discovery Sport that is down on the ground.

Grylls said: “I’m not sure many people will be using it in such a manner but the technology to operate the car remotely in this way will undoubtedly be a real winner for busy families who want to be prepared.”
