Bentley Continental GT Speed gets even more powerful

Bentley has updated its Continental GT Speed super-coupe for the new year with more power, more torque and even more speed than ever before.

The fastest production Bentley ever, the Continental GT Speed is powered by a massive 6.0-litre twin-turbocharged W12 engine, which has had its output boosted from 626bhp to 633bhp.

Maximum torque has likewise been increased from an already huge 820Nm to a phenomenal 841Nm, and the extra grunt has shaved two tenths off the car’s 0-62mph time, which now clocks in at 3.9 seconds.

In addition to adding extra power to its flagship performance model, Bentley has also added a new Black Edition variant, which adds on a range of noir touches to enhance the car’s character.

Available on both the coupe and convertible body styles, the chrome trimmings on the cars exterior are swapped for high gloss black alternatives, plus exclusive colour options for the aero kit.

Customers can specify the Black Edition with contrasting colours for the front splitter, side skirts and rear diffuser in a choice of four hues: grey, black, red and the all-new Cyber Yellow option.

The Black Edition also gets blacked-out 21-inch wheels with matching black brake calipers, though customers can also specify red brakes for a more contrasting appearance.

Inside, the dark theme continues with carbon fibre trimming on the fascia, centre console and roof, while the leather upholstery also gains the same contrasting colour options as the exterior aero.

The updated Bentley Continental GT Speed is available to order now ahead of first deliveries this summer, and prices start from £168,000 for the standard model and £176,000 for the Black Edition.
