Black Friday 2019: Can I get a car for a low price?

Looking for a good deal on a new car? Black Friday may just be what you need...

Black Friday is almost upon us. No, we don’t mean a day of the world descending into a sky of darkness and possibly a chorus of ‘00s pop punk, rather an American tradition that sees a whole host of bargain sales. It’s now made its way across the Atlantic, and us Brits are equally as barmy for it.

Pretty much any item you can think of will be on sale on the day — and that includes discounts on a new car. Looking to get a good deal on your next motor? Read on...

When is Black Friday?

As mentioned, Black Friday is an annual American retail tradition that follows the Friday immediately after its holiday of Thanksgiving. That occurs on the fourth Thursday of November each year, so Black Friday 2019 will take place on November 29th.

Which manufacturers are taking part?

Though details are currently quite scarce and which manufacturers are partaking in Black Friday sales this year, there are some bargains to be found already.

A number of Ford dealers across the country have already began advertising offers to celebrate the day for example, with huge discounts to be found across the firm’s various vehicles. Deals currently appear to vary based on each dealership, however, but be sure to use our new car buying service to help you find the best deal.

In previous years, other manufacturers keen to jump on the trend have included BMW — which this year could be keen to shift stock of its soon outgoing 4 Series and 2 Series models.

Alfa Romeo has also been a brand keen to get involved with the offers, with last year seeing some dealers offering excellent deals on its Giulia saloon and Stelvio SUV. Again, these two models are soon due for replacement so expect some impressive deals to help shift stock.

Do I have to buy a car on Black Friday itself to get the best deal?

Though Black Friday itself is the best time for deals on most products, car dealers, in particular, like to extend the event in a bid to get more people into new cars.

This of course varies across the country and depending on the manufacturer or dealership, but the likelihood is that offers will be available well before and after Black Friday itself.
