The Black Friday phenomenon seems even more important this year, what with the Covid-19 pandemic putting a strain on our finances.
And while you might not be thinking about splashing out on a new car at this time, you might be surprised and tempted by some of the offers available.
So to help get to grips with what Black Friday savings are available, here’s a round-up of what the manufacturers are offering, both to help you get a cheaper new car and also make running one more affordable.
Citroen
Citroen kicks off the Black Friday deals with a servicing offer. The brand is giving drivers of cars of all makes and models a fixed price service for £159, while if you book an MOT at the same time, you’ll get this at half price – saving you £22.50.
What’s more if you recommend someone has their car serviced at Citroen you’ll get an extra 10 per cent off your bill.
Offers run until December 4.

Jaguar is one of the few manufacturers actually offering huge discounts off the price of a new car this Black Friday.
Through the brand’s online buying platform, which is called Rockar, you can save up to an incredible £12,140 as part of its Black Friday Event, while you could have your new car delivered in as little as 24 hours.
Big discounts are available off the brand’s range of SUVs – including the E-Pace, F-Pace and electric I-Pace. The brand’s recently facelifted 2021 F-Pace is also available, too. You can also save an additional £500 by using a ‘ROCKDOWN500’ discount code at the checkout.
Offers are available until November 30.

Jaguar’s sister brand Land Rover is also joining in with the Black Friday fun, with the brand also offering vast savings off its range of SUVs through its ‘Rockar’ online buying platform.
Land Rover’s discounts are even greater than those from Jaguar, with the British firm offering savings of up to a huge £14,299. All its models are also available, from the affordable Discovery Sport to the new Defender and flagship Range Rover.
You could also have your car delivered in as little as 24 hours, while the same ‘ROCKSTAR500’ discount code will save you an extra £500 as well. Offers run until November 30.
Enquire on a new Land RoverSeat
Seat is another manufacturer offering drivers of its cars lower-priced servicing, with the Spanish brand discounting its maintenance plans by 25 per cent as part of Black Friday deals.
Don’t think that it’s only new low-mileage Seats that can take advantage of this offer, though, as it applies to all of its cars up to 15 years old and 200,000 miles. You can also spread the cost as part of a payment plan. The offer applies until December 2.

Skoda joins sibling brand Seat’s servicing offers, by also giving drivers of its cars the opportunity to save 25 per cent on service plans as part of Black Friday.
Offered for cars up to 15 years old, it means whether you’re driving an older Fabia supermini or a brand new Kodiaq SUV, you can benefit from this saving. So whereas two services on a Skoda would usually cost you £408, it’s now available for £306 upfront, or £12.75 a month over two years.

Vauxhall is a brand that’s done plenty to help motorists this year – including offering free roadside assistance for all Vauxhall-driving NHS workers, regardless of their car’s age.
And now the firm is providing more attractive servicing and MOT deals as part of Black Friday. They essentially mirror Citroen’s savings by offering fixed price £159 servicing of cars of all makes, as well as a half-price MOT if it’s booked at the same time as the service. Offers run until December 4.
Enquire on a new VauxhallVolkswagen
Last but not least are Volkswagen’s Black Friday deals on servicing plans. Available on cars aged between one and 15 years old, you can save 20 per cent off a maintenance plan for your vehicle. This would make one minor and one major service available for £396 – a £100 saving.
Like Seat and Skoda, you can also pay for the plan on a monthly basis, with offers running until December 6.
