BMW M2 to offer M Performance parts

BMW has confirmed M Performance parts for its all-new M2 coupe. The optional extras, which include sportier and more aerodynamic car body parts, will be available from this March and will feature at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show during the same month.

The M Performance parts for the M2 are constructed from carbon reinforce plastic and include attachments for the front, the side sills, the rear diffuser, mirror caps and the rear boot lid spoiler.

Exterior upgrades

A new M Performance radiator grille, finished in high-gloss black and sporting a BMW M badge, is also an option.

Also part of the M Performance package is a flap silence system for the exhaust. This can make the M2 deliver a more intense perception of the engine note and the system can be controlled via Bluetooth.

The M Performance pack also offers coil-spring suspension that reduces the M2’s ground clearance by 20 millimetres. Sports brake pads and adjustments to the shock absorbers are also available as part of the M Performance pack.

Sportier interior

For the interior, the optional pack gives the M2 an LED door sill cover strip for both the driver and passenger side. M Performance floor mats, retrofit Alcantara covering for the steering wheel, an M Performance Pro steering wheel and stainless steel pedal covers are other interior features.

Another M Performance option for the interior is a pack that adds carbon fibre trim elements to the gear selector lever, centre console and handbrake handle.
