BMW 5 Series has won the main prize at the first Company Car Today CCT100 Awards, as well as the Executive Car of the Year category.
This success at the CCT100 Awards adds to the two awards the model won at the WhatCar? Awards last week, with the 5 Series winning the Best Luxury Car and the Best Estate model over £25,000.
Paul Barker, editor of Company Car Today, said: “Everything from connectivity and technology to running costs and the driver experience is excellent, and makes the 5-Series the most rewarding of company cars for both the driver and the business operator. That’s why it’s both our CCT100 Car of the Year and our Executive Car of the Year.”
Starting from £35,835, the 5 Series comes in both saloon and Touring guises, and is available with semi-autonomous driving features and gesture controls.
Available with efficient petrol and diesel engine options, BMW also provides customers with the choice of hybrid power that would give business customers a more environmentally-friendly option.
Alongside the 5 Series, the Premium Crossover category was won by the X1 and the 3 Series 330e saloon won the Plug-in Hybrid segment.
Paul Barker added: “The 330e is playing a big part in establishing plug-in hybrids as a logical part of company car operations, and therefore is an excellent choice as our PHEV of the Year.”
