Car of The Year 2020 finalists revealed…

Hotly-anticipated models like the new BMW 1 Series and Peugeot 208 feature on the impressive list.

Finalists for the coveted Car of The Year 2020 award have been revealed.

Set to be crowned on March 2, 2020, at the Geneva Motor Show, this year’s line-up looks set to be one of the most fiercely-contested yet.

First up is the latest BMW 1 Series — a revolutionary car for the firm, becoming its first front-wheel-drive production car. With impressive powertrains and loads of kit on-board, it could steal the show.

Then there’s the Ford Puma. This reborn nameplate is returning as a crossover, boasting quirky looks and, thanks to its Fiesta underpinnings, is almost certain to be sweet to drive too.

Following that is the Peugeot 208. This head-turning supermini is one of the most cutting-edge in its class, and the impressive all-electric e-208 will surely give it a boost for the title.

With the Porsche Taycan there though, the EV will have a lot to prove. Porsche’s first EV has been met with great reception since its reveal, and looks to be one of the most in-demand cars of 2020.

The new Renault Clio is on the list, too. Though its looks are evolutionary rather than revolutionary, a total cabin overhaul has taken the Clio to a new height of luxury and makes it one of the most appealing out there.

Tesla’s Model 3 could steal the show, too. This EV made a surprise appearance as on the UK’s best-selling cars in September, and continues to be a favourite amongst tech heads.

Last, but by no means least, is the Toyota Corolla. This British-built hybrid machine has impressive consumers and critics alike since its revival earlier this year, and looks well-poised to challenge for the crown.

Who will win the Car of The Year 2020, then? All will be revealed come March…
