Citroen, Peugeot and Vaxuhall win ‘Van of the Year’ at Fleet Awards

The small vans also picked up its category prize, marking a successful night for the PSA Group.

The Citroen Berlingo, Peugeot Partner and Vauxhall Combo won the headline prize at the inaugural Fleet World Great British Fleet Awards.

The trio also took home the award for best ‘Small Van of the Year’, marking a successful evening for the vehicles – which share the same PSA Group platform.

All three share the same specifications and capabilities, by having a load volume up to 4.4m3, a payload of 1,000kg and a load length of up to 3.4m – with the trio available in short and long wheelbase and crew cab variants.

Commenting on all three models, Van Fleet World editor Dan Gilkes said: “The all-new models are such a departure from their predecessors and such an improvement over them, that this was an easy choice for the judges.

The trio beat the Ford Transit Connect to the Small Van award, while it topped the Mercedes Sprinter for the overall award.

Prices for the Citroen start from £17,768, £19,502 for the Partner and £18,813 for Vauxhall’s Combo.
