Dacia adds two power options to Sandero Stepway

The crossover version of the budget hatchback is now available with the SCe 75 petrol and dCi 95 diesel engines.

The UK’s most popular Dacia, the Sandero Stepway, is now being offered with two new engines as well as refreshed trim options.

The SCe 75 petrol and dCi 95 diesel engines have been added for further depth in the Stepway’s line-up – with Dacia still providing the TCe 90 turbo petrol.

Developing 74bhp and 95Nm of torque, the SCe 75 is only available on the base Essential trim level and can get the Stepway from 0-60mph in 16.5 seconds. It has a top speed of 97mph.

Fuel usage of the SCe 75 unit is quoted at 43.5 – 45.6 mpg, while it emits 124g/km CO2.

With the dCi 95 unit installed, the Sandero Stepway can get from 0-60mph in 12.1 seconds and reach a top speed of 111mph. It emits 103g/km CO2 and can achieve between 58.8 and 62.7mpg.

Dacia has also modified the trim offerings, with Essential now featuring air conditioning, electric front windows, DAB radio, Bluetooth, body-coloured bumpers and 16-inch alloys.

For the Comfort option, the Stepway comes with a touchscreen infotainment system with satellite navigation and smartphone connectivity, rear parking sensors, cruise control and electric rear windows.

Prices for the Sandero Stepway start from £8,995 and deliveries of the new versions will start in February.
