Dacia announces pricing for new Duster

The second generation of the compact SUV goes on sale from £9,995 and is available to order from June 11.

Following its full reveal at the Frankfurt Motor Show last September, Dacia has released the pricing and specification for the new Duster SUV.

The second generation of the compact model has been redesigned from the ground-up and comes with a more rugged design than before, thanks to increased cladding and a more muscular look.

Despite the new version also coming with new technology and additional features, the Duster still comes in under the £10,000 mark – with the new model starting from £9,995, making it the cheapest SUV on sale in the UK.

UK customers will have four trim levels to choose from – Access, Essential, Comfort and Prestige – with all four being fitted with kit such as LED daytime running lights, ECO mode and stop/start, emergency brake assist and automatic door locks.

The base Access trim adds 16-inch steel wheels and electric front windows, while Essential adds body-coloured front and rear bumpers, manual air conditioning, DAB radio and Bluetooth connectivity, with steering column mounted media controls.

If you’re after more tech, then the Comfort trim adds a rear reversing camera and sensors, a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system with satellite navigation and a seven-function trip computer, as well as a leather steering wheel, heated and electrically adjustable wing mirrors and graphite grey cloth upholstery.

The top level Prestige model comes with 17-inch alloy wheels, a multi-view camera, blind spot warning, climate control and keyless entry.

Customers can choose from either a petrol or a diesel engine, both of which come with 113bhp and use a manual transmission. Only the petrol engine is available with two- or four-wheel drive.

Order books open from 11 June, with deliveries starting in July.
