Dacia launches new petrol engines for Duster

The compact crossover now comes with 128bhp and 148bhp petrol options, with Dacia also revealing infotainment updates.

Dacia has revealed two new powertrain options for its Duster line-up, as well as updates to its infotainment system.

The Romanian brand offers the Duster with two additional version of the 1.3-litre TCe unit which now come with more power than before.

The TCe 130 produces 128bhp and has a 5bhp hike in output over the previous generation, while the TCe 150 offers 148bhp – a 24bhp increase over its predecessor.

Dacia says that the new units come with a ‘Bore Spray Coating’, which is used to improve heat management in the engine block to offer improved performance and ‘increased driving pleasure’.

The new units will be available to order with the Duster by the end of the year – with pricing to be announced closer to the sale date.

2018 Dacia Duster

Another update announced by Dacia is the upgraded Media Nav Evolution infotainment system, which now comes with access to Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, as well as an improved screen and touch responsiveness.

The current Duster range starts from £9,995, with these updates to be applied in due course.
