Even hotter Ford Fiesta ST200 blasts into Geneva

The much-loved and much lauded Ford Fiesta ST has gotten even hotter with the the introduction of the new Fiesta ST200, the most powerful production Fiesta ever.

Powered by the same 1.6-litre EcoBoost engine as the regular ST, the ST200 wrings an extra 10 per cent more power and 20 per cent more torque from the turbocharged four-pot.

As a result, output figures clock in at 197bhp with a meaty 290Nm of torque, and as a result the ST200 is capable of sprinting from 0-62mph in just 6.7 seconds, with a top speed of 143mph.

Uprated engine, bespoke gear ratios

To further enhance its performance, it also comes with a shortened final gear ratio for better acceleration at speed, plus an overboost function to temporarily raise maximum power by 15bhp.

Joe Bakaj, Ford Europe’s vice president for product development, said: “The Fiesta ST is truly beloved by owners and critics. The ST200 takes this special drivers’ car to a new level of power and performance.”

Like the regular Fiesta ST, the ST200 also features specially modified steering for increased accuracy, along with bespoke damper settings and a ride height reduced by 15mm over the standard Fiesta.

Exclusive exterior and interior details

It also features an exclusive Storm Grey paint option, along with 17-inch machined black alloy wheels with red brake callipers and illuminated scuff plates.

Inside, the Fiesta ST200 also gets special interior detailing which includes Recaro sports seats upholstered in part leather, along with contrasting silver stitching and silver seatbelts.
