Fiat reveals updated 500X

The new version of the crossover includes a refreshed front look and a new cabin with a seven-inch touchscreen at the centre.

Fiat has unveiled an update for the 500X crossover, which has been given a refresh both inside and out.

As well as a new front-end design that incorporates new LED daytime running lights and headlights, the 500X has new rear lights and new design features for both the Urban and Cross trim levels.

Fiat has also given the model two new turbo petrol engines that are more efficient than their predecessors, with the 1.0-litre 118bhp option paired to a six-speed manual and the 1.3-litre four-cylinder option producing 148bhp while teamed with a six-speed dual-clutch auto.

The cockpit has gone through a makeover as well, with Fiat giving the 500X a new leather steering wheel and paired instrument cluster.

A range of safety systems are now available as standard on all models, including traffic sign recognition, speed advisor and lane assist, while blind spot alert, adaptive cruise control and city brake control are on offer as optional extras.

2018 Fiat 500X

All three trim levels – Urban, City Cross and Cross Plus – come as standard with the Uconnect seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system which is integrated with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

As standard on base Urban models, the 500X comes with LED daytime running lights and rear lights, 16-inch alloy wheels, a leather steering wheel, manual air conditioning, cruise control and 60/40 split rear seats.

Prices for the updated 500X start from £16,995 and are available to order now. Before September 30, customers are able to get a deposit contribution up to £1,000 and three years zero per cent APR.
