1. It has a very large boot
In front-wheel-drive models, the boot capacity is 510 litres which is larger than one of its biggest rivals - the Nissan Qashqai. The rear seats also split 60:40 to aid the car’s flexibility. Elsewhere, there is a hidden boot floor and levers to fold the rear seats, which leaves you with a boot capacity of 1,604 litres which is more than many of its rivals.
2. It’s a good tow car
Every Seat Ateca can tow at least 1,500kg, with the 2.0-litre petrol model increasing the towing capacity to 2,000kg. The Tow Car Awards gave the Ateca an impressive score of four out of five for towing ability, with the punchy 2.0-litre diesel model the most appealing because it can tow up to 2,100kg.

When Euro NCAP tested the Ateca in 2016, it was awarded the full five-star safety rating, scoring nine per cent for adult occupants, 84 per cent for child occupants, 71 per cent for pedestrians and 60 per cent for its safety assists.
