Ford introduces Ka Black and White editions

New Black and White Zetec editions added to Ford’s Ka city car range.

Ford is adding fresh appeal to its Ka city car range with its new Black and White Zetec editions, which add a host of aesthetic enhancements.

As with most other colour-themed editions, Ford’s new Black and White models come with unique paint jobs - Midnight Black or Crystal White – and 16-inch alloy wheels as standard. Ford also offers an optional body-coloured roof spoiler and new Grey Matter paint job.

Contrasting interior detailing can also be found in black and white on the steering wheel, handbrake, gear shifter and floor mats.

As it is based on the Zetec grade, standard kit is quite generous. Features include a panoramic sunroof, heated front seats, parking sensors and a host of safety kit, including side and curtain airbags.

Commenting on the new Ka Black and White Zetec editions, John Mcleod, chief designer, Vehicle Personalisation, Ford of Europe, said: “Black and white is a timeless combination that evokes thoughts of chic 1960s style, and now inspires the design of products from consumer electronics to training shoes. We’ve used that simple combination to deliver a distinctive Ka interior with a charismatic twist.”

Ford’s Ka city car has been in its second-generation guise since 2008, and a new generation Ka will reportedly arrive next year. The new features of the Black and White additions will no doubt inspire options and enhancements on the new and upcoming model. The new Ka will also feature EcoBoost technology, with a 1.0-litre unit likely to be the headlining engine.

The current Ford Ka model is priced from £8,945.
