Ford showcases new Focus Red and Black Editions

Ford has used the limelight of the 2015 Geneva Motor Show to show off its new Focus Red and Black Editions.

Aimed at those who want to make their Focus stand out on the road – but do not necessarily want to splash out on the Focus ST and RS models – the new Focus Red and Black Editions come with a host of two-tone aesthetic enhancements.

Both models feature added sports body kit, including side skirts, a rear spoiler, sports bumpers and 17 or 18-inch alloy wheels. As expected, the Red Edition comes with a ‘Race Red’ paintjob, as well as contrasting black door mirrors and roof. The Black Edition, on the other hand, has a ‘Panther Black’ paintjob as well as the same contrasting mirrors and roof design, although this time in red.

The Black Edition also has a contrasting front bumper and grille surround colour scheme. Contrasting interior designs also come with each model, with unique stitching and trimmings on the gear stick, steering wheel and sports seats.

The new Focus derivatives follow in the footsteps of its smaller sibling, the Fiesta, as the best-selling supermini has also received similar Red and Black renditions - Fiesta Zetec S Red Edition and Fiesta Zetec S Black Edition - which are on sale now.

Although the similar Fiesta models feature a 138bhp 1.0-litre EcoBoost, the new Focus Red and Black Editions will most likely feature more powerful versions of the brand’s acclaimed EcoBoost unit.

Prices have not yet be confirmed for the new Focus Red and Black Editions.
