Ford will reveal this all-electric SUV next month…

Mustang-inspired SUV is said to offer more than 370 miles of range between charges

Ford has confirmed it will reveal an all-electric SUV on November 18th, said to be a ‘game-changing’ model.

Though details are scarce on the model, it has been claimed it will offer more than 370 miles of range between charges — with its design heavily inspired by the Mustang muscle car.

Clear to see in this fresh teaser are head- and taillights that look very close to those found on a Mustang, with a roofline and blistered wheel arches that mimic the iconic coupe too. No name has been officially confirmed, but rumours suggest ‘Mach E’ could be a strong possibility.

It looks as though this car could be built to take on Jaguar’s I-Pace and Tesla’s Model X. If so, expect something of a premium price tag — but with plenty of cutting-edge technology and bags of performance to match it.

This new vehicle will be able to take advantage of Ford’s recently-revealed FordPass charging ecosystem. This brings over 125,000 charging points in 21 different countries, including the Ionity network — which Ford has been a heavy investor in.

When charging using an Ionity point, this SUV will be able to accept 57 miles of range in as little as 10 minutes.

Expect to hear more on the Ford electric SUV’s UK availability following next month’s Los Angeles Motor Show.
