Ford’s Titanium X trim woos at Geneva

As part of a series of model unveilings at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, Ford has also revealed some high specification versions of existing models. These include the Mondeo Titanium X and Kuga Titanium X Sport.

Those who know the Ford range will know that the Titanium specifications are typically the top choice when it comes to luxury and equipment. For example, on the Ford Mondeo, the Titanium trim level brings niceties like satellite navigation, sport front seats and DAB digital radio.

The Titanium X trim (which is currently available on the Fiesta supermini), Titanium X Sport and Titanium Sport grades were showcased on the Mondeo, Kuga and S-MAX models under Geneva lights this year.

When fitted with the Titanium X trim, the new Mondeo, which was launched in the UK early this year, comes with dynamic LED headlights, privacy glass and 10-way power adjustable heated leather seats as standard. Added optional kit offered by the Titanium X grade includes a panoramic sunroof, Sony DAB audio system, heated steering wheel and aluminium pedals. There is even the option of adding a sporty body kit with a rear spoiler and 19-inch alloy wheels.

The Kuga SUV was on display wearing the Titanium X Sport trim level. On the outside this trim adds silver roof rails and skid plate, a rear diffuser and 19-inch alloy wheels. Inside, there is a Sony DAB audio system with satellite navigation, a rear view camera and Active Park Assist – which helps when parallel parking.

Also on display was the new seven-seat S-MAX, which is set to go on sale later in 2015. When fitted with the Titanium Sport trim level the new S-MAX offers leather seats with red stitching and an optional panoramic glass roof with a sunblind. The highlights of the Titanium Sport trim however, are indeed its sporty credentials, as it adds a sport suspension, exterior styling kit with a rear spoiler and 18-inch alloy wheels.

2015 has proven a big year for Ford at the Geneva Motor Show, as the manufacturer also revealed new up and coming models such as the Mustang, Focus Red and Black Editions, Focus RS and GT supercar.
