Full pricing and specs unveiled for the 2017 Ford Fiesta

The 2017 Ford Fiesta will be priced from £12,715 when it goes on sale in the UK this spring.

Packed with advanced driver assist functions and high-tech equipment, plus new and exclusive trim options, Ford is billing the all-new Fiesta as the most technologically advanced small car ever made for Europe.

Nine trims will be available in total and the range kicks off with the £12,715 Style model, which makes a return after being axed from the previous Fiesta line-up last year.

Available as both a three-door and a five-door, standard equipment includes 15-inch steel wheels, Bluetooth and air conditioning, along with a 4.2-inch digital display screen, automatic headlights and a speed limiter.

However, the biggest seller is likely to be the Zetec trim, which accounts for nearly two thirds of all current Fiesta sales, and which is priced from £13,995.

Zetec models benefit from the addition of alloy wheels and LED daytime running lights, plus chrome exterior highlights and a leather steering wheel. Ford's new SYNC 3 infotainment system also features, housed in a 6.5-inch touchscreen with integrated DAB radio, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

New for the eight-generation Fiesta is the option of the Zetec B&O PLAY trim, which is priced from £14,945 and adds an exclusive B&O PLAY 10-speaker audio system with 360-degree surround sound and a boot-mounted subwoofer. Alongside this, Zetec B&O PLAY models also benefit from a larger eight-inch touchscreen with integrated sat-nav, plus exclusive Bohai Mint green and Chrome Copper finishes with colour-coded interior highlights.

Above the Zetec range sits the £15,945 Titanium trim, which features larger 16-inch alloys and LED rear lights, in addition to a 4.2-inch digital instrument display, automatic lights and wipers, plus cruise control. The larger eight-inch SYNC 3 system comes standard, with built-in sat-nav.

For £16,695, buyers can specify the Titanium B&O PLAY model, which adds the same exclusive touches as Zetec B&O PLAY. Above that sits Titanium X, which for £17,295 adds part leather heated seats, the B&O PLAY audio system and a reversing camera.

The popular Fiesta ST-Line trim also makes a return, priced from £15,945 and with a range of sporty additions like a unique body kit, 17-inch alloy wheels and lowered, stiffer sports suspension.

ST-Line also benefits from sports-style seats and a new flat-bottomed steering wheel, while for £17,295 buyers can opt for the ST-Line X trim, which gets all the same kit as the standard ST-Line model but with the addition of LED rear lights, the larger eight-inch touchscreen, part-leather upholstery and cruise control.

Finally, the new Fiesta will also be available with the option of a range-topping Vignale model for the first time, which starts from £19,995 and adds a range of exclusive touches like a unique exterior appearance, exclusive Vignale badging and a panoramic roof.

The Fiesta Vignale also gets Black Ruby heated leather seats, along with a reversing camera, rear parking sensors and all-round electric windows for the five-door model.

Customers can also choose to upgrade their car with a range of personalisation options, which includes the option of 11 paint finished, contrasting roof colours on all models from Titanium upwards, and the ST-Line Red Pack, which adds additional red touches to the interior.

Engine options include the choice of a 1.1-litre petrol engine available with either 69bhp or 84bhp, or a 1.5-litre diesel with outputs of either 83bhp or 118bhp.

The acclaimed 1.0-litre EcoBoost engines also make a return in the new Fiesta and are expected to account for the bulk of sales, with 99bhp, 123bhp and 138bhp versions.

Ford claims that the diesels can return up to 88.3mpg while emitting just 82g/km of CO2, while the most powerful petrol EcoBoost can take the car from 0-62mph in nine seconds flat while returning a claimed 62.8mpg.

The all-new Ford Fiesta will be available to buy in the UK this spring, while pricing and details for both the Fiesta ST hot hatch and the new Fiesta Active crossover will be unveiled later this year.
