Full pricing for Alfa Romeo Giulia confirmed

Full pricing and specification details for the Alfa Romeo Giulia saloon have been announced. The 3 Series rival will start from just over £29,000.

Alfa Romeo has revealed full pricing and specification details for its new Giulia saloon, which will start from £29,180.

It was confirmed back in June that the range-topping 507bhp Quadrifoglio Verde would be priced from £59,000. Now we know the pricing for all other models in the Giulia range. Alfa’s new saloon will take on the likes of the Jaguar XE, BMW 3 Series and Audi A4.

Trim levels announced

The standard Giulia, which has no specified trim name, uses a 197bhp 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine hooked up to an eight-speed automatic gearbox. The latter is standard for all Giulia models.

Equipment for the standard Giulia includes 16-inch alloy wheels, dual-zone climate control, cruise control, rear parking sensors and a multimedia system with a 6.5-inch screen and DAB radio.

Following the standard Giulia there’s the Super, Tecnica and Speciale trim levels plus the range-topping Quadrifoglio mentioned earlier. The Super trim, which starts from £30,880, can use both the petrol engine and a 2.2-litre turbodiesel with outputs of 148bhp or 177bhp.

The Super trim also features a larger 8.8-inch screen with sat-nav and a seven-inch TFT dial display, along with a two-tone colour scheme and partial leather for the interior. This trim is expected to be the most popular among Giulia customers.

Those who go for the Tecnica trim, which starts at £30,995, will have just the diesel engines to choose from but will get more luxurious kit, such as front parking sensors and a rear view camera.

The Speciale trim, priced from £34,150, only uses the 177bhp version of the diesel engine and adds 18-inch alloys, heated leather sports seats and steering wheel and sportier bumpers for the exterior.

Alfa Romeo says the Giulia will go on sale in the UK “later this year”.
