Here’s your first look at the new 2017 Hyundai i30 Tourer

The 2017 Hyundai i30 Tourer has been unveiled prior to its public debut at the Geneva Motor Show this month. Find out more including spec information here.

Hot on the heels of the newly-updated Hyundai i30 comes the new i30 Tourer, the estate version of Hyundai’s popular hatchback.

Due to make its first public appearance at the Geneva Motor Show this month, the new i30 Tourer inherits the same new looks as its hatch sibling but with significantly more boot space.

Boasting a maximum of 1,650 litres of capacity in the rear, Hyundai says the i30 Tourer is set to be one of the most practical choices in its segment, but it’s not just all new looks and more space.

Like the hatch, it’ll come packed with new active safety kit like autonomous emergency braking, automatic high beam assist and a driver attention alert system.

Also new is an eight-inch touchscreen mounted above the centre console with integrated sat-nav, Apple Carplay and Android Auto, plus a wireless charging mat for your smartphone.

Hyundai says it’s tried to make the i30 Tourer much better to drive than before too, with a new chassis developed on the Nürburgring and more direct steering for improved handling.

Finally, it’s also available with the new 1.4-litre and 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engines that debuted on the i30 hatchback, along with the option of a single 1.6-litre diesel.

The new Hyundai i30 Tourer estate will be unveiled at this year’s Geneva Motor Show, but in the meantime you can read our review of the newly-revamped hatchback on the Car Keys site.
