Honda adds S Plus trim to 2017 CR-V line-up

The new spec is based on the S Navi trim level, and is only available with a 2.0-litre petrol or a 1.6-litre diesel.

Honda’s popular SUV the CR-V has received a new special edition trim level, the S Plus.

Based on the S Navi specification, the S Plus models come with new exterior features, such as aero bumpers on the front and rear, a tailgate spoiler and new running boards to add a “sporty yet mature look.”

Inside, S Plus versions get automatic dual-zone climate control, cruise control, Bluetooth with mobile hands-free, reversing camera, emergency braking system and Honda’s Connect infotainment system that includes satellite navigation.

It is only available with a 2.0-litre petrol or 1.6-litre diesel engine driving the front wheels. A manual gearbox is the only transmission option. Honda offers this version of the CR-V with white, black, grey and red body colours.

Managing director of Honda UK Dave Hodgetts said: “This special edition CR-V is a fantastic addition to the world’s bestselling SUV line up, and will make for a great ending to 2017 for Honda in the UK.

“The S Plus provides customers with approximately £1,500 of features for free, aligning with Honda’s objective of supplying products of the highest quality, at a reasonable price for utmost customer satisfaction.”

The CR-V S Plus petrol model has a starting price of £23,500, while the diesel version starts from £24,500. If customers choose to have this vehicle via a PCP agreement, the petrol costs £299 per month while the diesel costs £309 per month – both on 36-instalment contract.
