Honda launches virtual showroom to let customers ‘experience’ new HR-V

Service lets customers easily experience the car from their own homes

Ahead of the launch of Honda’s new HR-V later this year, the firm has announced a new ‘virtual showroom experience’ to let customers explore the upcoming crossover.

Honda says the virtual showroom offers an ‘extremely realistic experience’, and includes a virtual demonstration of the HR-V. A 360-degree digital tour of the car is available under three ‘themes’ as Honda calls it – Seamlessly Connected, Ultra-Responsive and Cleverly Packaged. Each focuses on different characteristics of the HR-V and offers a close-up of the interior and exterior of the car that will be the closest thing to experiencing the car in person.

Available on the main Honda UK website, customers are also able to book a ‘virtual demonstration’ of the HR-V, whereby a product expert will offer a walkaround guide of the car and be able to answer any questions that customers might have. These 30-minute one-on-one demonstrations are available from September 20 until November 12.

Rebecca Adamson, Head of Automobile at Honda UK, said: “Like the HR-V, we also wanted to take an innovative approach to its launch and make the car really accessible. In an age where there is an increasing trend of customers opting for online car-buying at their convenience, our aim is to tailor this journey to the demands of our customers with an up-close and personal experience through an immersive digital platform.”

The new Honda HR-V has been a long time coming, and brings more attractive coupe-like styling, as well as the promise of class-leading interior space. The new car is also exclusively available with a hybrid powertrain as the Japanese firm looks to electrify all its core European line-up.

Honda’s new HR-V is set to arrive in showrooms from November.
