Hyundai has announced that its KONA compact SUV will have a starting price of £16,195 when it goes on sale from November 2.
Available in five trim levels from launch – S, SE, Premium, Premium SE and Premium GT – the KONA comes with plenty of features from base specification.
Based on the i30 hatchback the KONA comes as standard with excellent levels of safety equipment from including driver attention alert, lane keeping assist, hill start assist control and downhill brake control, while higher end models add blind spot detection and autonomous braking.
S models get 16-inch alloy wheels, a rear spoiler with integrated brake light, 60/40 split rear seats, air conditioning, LED daytime running lights, cruise control with speed limiter, electric windows, a five-inch central console display, DAB radio, and Bluetooth, USB and AUX connectivity. A multifunction steering wheel and 3.5-inch information screen fitted in the instrument binnacle are also included.
As you move up the specifications, other features available include two-tone exterior paint work, leather seat upholstery, a head-up display, an eight-inch touchscreen, a KRELL premium audio system, larger alloy wheels and telephone connectivity systems.
The top-spec Premium GT model comes with full LED lights with high beam assist, a 4.2-inch LCD display cluster and the Safety Pack, which includes autonomous braking with pedestrian recognition. It also receives the top-end 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol engine that produces 175bhp and is paired with a seven-speed automatic transmission and four-wheel drive.

Prices for the top-spec Premium GT model start from £24,995.
