Jaguar F-TYPE SVR revealed through brochure leak

Details and images of a new range-topping version of the Jaguar F-TYPE have emerged after a brochure featuring the car was leaked online.

A new range-topping version of the Jaguar F-TYPE sports car, called the SVR, has been revealed after a sales brochure was leaked online.

The leaked brochure includes the first images of the F-TYPE SVR, which will be available for both the coupe and convertible version of the Jaguar. The SVR model comes from Jaguar Land Rover’s Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) division.

Performance upgrades

The F-TYPE SVR features aerodynamic upgrades including a large rear spoiler, new air inlets at the front and an upgraded splitter.

The wheels and tyres are both bigger, resulting in improved grip and new carbon-ceramic brakes are also introduced by the SVR which are 21kg lighter and improve stopping power. A titanium exhaust system is also introduced, which sheds another 12kg off the car’s total weight.

Utilising a four-wheel drive powertrain as standard, the SVR will also use an upgraded version of the F-TYPE’s petrol V8, hooked up to an eight-speed automatic gearbox. Reportedly producing 567bhp, the F-TYPE SVR’s V8 is set to offer a 25bhp improvement over the F-TYPE R.

The leaked brochure also indicates the SVR will cover the 0-62mph sprint in just 3.7 seconds and the top speed will be set at 197mph for the convertible or 200mph for the coupe.

Interior and potential pricing

Images from the brochure show that the interior of the F-TYPE SVR features a redesigned steering wheel with aluminium shift paddles.

Also found inside is quilted leather with contrast stitching plus several SVR logos dotted around the cabin.

Pricing for the new Jaguar F-TYPE SVR is currently unknown but it will likely start about £100,000.
